The BAPA Journal is a peer-reviewed journal published by the Bangladeshi-American Pharmacists Association. The journal covers all areas of pharmaceutical education, research, development, manufacturing, therapy, dispensing, and regulations. The BAPA Journal is an open access publication and is accessible on the Web.
The members of the BAPA Journal editorial board would like to invite professional articles from the members of the profession, faculties of Pharmacy and other related professionals for publication in the BAPA Journal 2008. BAPA Journal is in fact, more of a news magazine than a journal. It is published once a year during the annual convention.
Instructions for Authors
The following instructions pertain to submissions to the Bangladeshi-American Pharmacists Association’ journals: The BAPA Journal and BAPA News Letter.
The BAPA Journal
The BAPA Journal is a peer-reviewed journal published by the Bangladeshi-American Pharmacists Association. BAPA News Letter
BAPA News Letter is a peer-reviewed online-only news magazine published by the Bangladeshi-American Pharmacists Association. The News Letter's objective is to disseminate information about the association’s activities and share health care industry and member news. The News Letter is an open access publication and is freely accessible on the Web.
TYPES OF MANUSCRIPTS
The BAPA journal and newsletter accept the following types of manuscripts: Review, Original Research Article, Technical Notes, Regulatory Updates, and Meeting Notices/Minutes.
MANUSCRIPT STYLE AND FORMAT
Only manuscripts that meet the following requirements will be considered for publication.
Reviews
Reviews in all areas of the pharmaceutical sciences on the advances in drug discovery, development, and therapy are primarily by invitation of the Editors, but reviews can also be unsolicited and Authors are invited to suggest topics. Reviews are comprehensive, well-referenced papers describing new developments of interdisciplinary significance and highlight unresolved questions and future directions. All Reviews undergo peer review. Content of the review manuscript must be categorized and titled as depicted in the following table.

4. Keywords, 3-7 words
5. Introduction
6. Body, 5000 word maximum; descriptive titles and subheadings are acceptable
7. Conclusion, 3-4 sentences recommended

9. Any special funding received for research that is the subject of the manuscript must be included.
10. References, 100 maximum
11. Tables, must be built using Microsoft® Office Word’s Table function; caption should be placed before Table
12. Figures
Original Research Articles
Research articles should contain innovative, hypothesis-driven research that is supported by sound experimental design, methodology, and data interpretation. There are no limitations for word count for Research Articles, however, authors must strive to present their results as clearly and concisely as possible. Research Articles will be judged on originality, soundness, and presentation to determine their acceptability for publication.

Briefs/Technical Notes
Briefs/Technical Notes differ from Original Research Articles in that they are limited in scope. Notes must be of high quality, general interest, and sufficient importance to warrant publication. Notes do not include an abstract and are limited to approximately 1,200 words, 12 references, 3 Figures, and 3 Tables.

Meeting Notices
A Meeting Notice provides readers with information on an upcoming BAPA or BAPA-affiliated meeting, including title of the meeting, date and time, location, outline and description of meeting topics, and list invited speakers. If possible Meeting Notices should include contact information for the organizers and a URL to the meeting’s webpage. Meeting Notices should be submitted to the Editor two to three weeks before the meeting.
MANUSCRIPT SUBMISSION
Manuscripts and all manuscript materials should be submitted to editor@bapainfo.org. Manuscripts must be created and saved in Microsoft® Office Word or OpenOffice for Windows.
